It’s been a while eh? I’ve been very busy and haven’t focused on writing at all. But today while I was looking for some notes, I found a page that says “My mission statement” and nothing below it, I began writing and my words flew on to the page and now on to here.
As many of you may know I decided to take on an additional job opportunity to try my hand at real estate a few months ago. This was never something I thought about for too long or something I ever thought was for me because of whatever preconceived ideas I had about realtors and myself and how different I thought those two things were from each other. A lot has changed since then and now. I wouldn’t have taken the chance if it wasn’t for some much-needed encouragement from some very important people in my life, it all happened pretty quickly and right now I can say I am glad I took the chance.
I wanted to share my why, so that I can have it in a place where I know I can easily find it to remind myself and I wanted to share it because I need to share this venture, I need to people know what I do. I need people to trust me, to know who I am as a person and as a realtor because someday you might need someone for help buying or selling a house or property and maybe after reading this, you might consider me or maybe recommend me to someone who is looking and I will honor referrals, you have it here in writing.
This is my why and who I want to be as a realtor, in a mission type statement that is not condensed and that will be just as it flows out on the keyboard:
I love my town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, I love my country, I love that I grew up here. That’s possibly my favorite thing about myself. I look at this place in awe. I look at my life, my family and my friends and I know I am very lucky and very blessed. I know there’s a lot going on in the world which makes me even more grateful. I love an opportunity to talk about my hometown and why I think it’s special. If someone wants to be a part of it, mi casa es su casa, it’s great and we should share great things. We are by no means perfect and have plenty of room for improvement, but the good outweighs the bad.
My mission is to help people find their home here, the one they dreamed of. I would be able to show them my home through my eyes, and help them see what I see and hopefully they inherit the same love. Because life is better when you love where you live. My mission is to be as helpful as I can be. To work with honesty, integrity, and to the best of my abilities. To speak up and stand up for my clients and myself when things don’t feel right, to listen to their wants, their needs and what is most important to them and to listen to my instincts.
As a realtor, my job is to make the process and transition of selling or buying is as easy for my clients as possible as this can be an overwhelming process.
To my locals, we speak the same language, we live in the same house, I want to be someone you can talk to, someone who truly understands and make sure that you are being taken care of, whether that’s selling or buying.
At the end of the day what will matter most is that everyone is happy and wholehearted about their decision as these are very monumental moments in most people’s lives and I am aware of that and would be happy to be a part of that.
My mission is also to have fun with it!
I embrace this addition to my life, I look forward to all the people I will meet and help, the learning and all of the growth that will come with this venture and if you ever need my help I will do it gladly.
Thank you for reading.
